People may call at 999 for emergency services amid Upazila Election
The ongoing Sixth Upazila Parishad election will be completed in four phases with the aim of conducting the event in a fair and peaceful manner. The public is requested to contact the National Emergency Service 999 for any election-related assistance at every stage two day before the election, on the day of the election and on the day after the election.
The Public Security Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs recently informed this matter through a press release.
A government statement on Saturday (May 18) said that any election-related information and complaints received through the National Emergency Service 999 will be reported to the relevant returning officer or agency and action will be taken accordingly.
This time the sixth Upazila parishad election is being held in four phases. The first phase of the election was held on May 8. Voting is scheduled for the second phase on May 21, the third phase on May 29 and the fourth phase on June 5.
